About us
El Centro Nacional de Laboratorios de Salud Publica is the government technical area in the Instituto Nacional de Salud, dedicated to research, conducting surveillance of communicable and noncommunicable diseases, and also reviewing the public health situation in our country.
We have specialized laboratories with biosafety levels II and III, for doing conduct research in major diseases such as HIV, Tuberculosis, and Influenza
What do we do?
El Centro Nacional de Laboratorios de Salud Publica is responsible of:
Research for to development of new laboratory technologies and transfer them to different levels in the national lab network
Development of technical standards for laboratory procedures
It is a reference center for laboratories in the country
Provides specialized training for health care personnel and related institutions
Programs and implements monitoring and quality control for laboratories in the national lab network.
Provides technical and scientific advice to public and private agencies in specialized topics.

Histopathological diagnosis of communicable and noncommunicable diseases.

Educational materials: slides, photographs, fixed and stained microscope slides and insect specimens
